I've been on a wheat-free, dairy-free, essentially fun-free, regimen for the last few weeks in an attempt to see if it has any effect on my sense of health. With my RA symptoms acting up and slowing me down, I thought I'd use the Fall to experiment with removing things from my diet.
It's too early to tell if it's working. I need to give it more time. In the meanwhile, I am realizing how many of my meals involve bread or cheese or butter to some degree. It's not bad; it's just an observation. We'll see what, if anything, I learn during this experiment.
Sunday we're invited to a wedding, and I am happy to report that some defensive shopping totally paid off. Over the summer, I needed to buy 1 dress for an event, but while at the store, I saw another dress that I thought might be a good staple for Fall. Turns out, I was right! I love it when this happens. It might be in the 60s on Sunday, so I'll probably wear the dress with some sheer, black tights like Sofia Coppola in this photo:

Ok, can we talk about Kim Gordon in this photo and how fucking ridiculous she looks? I mean, cover her face up, and ask yourself "How old is the woman in the this outfit?" Now uncover the face and recoil in horror! Sofia looks super cute, and Kim looks... like a hag. She can rock, but whoever told her she had "style" created a monster. There are so many problems with her outfit, I don't even know where to start.
Fashion Week came and went, and I really loved MJ (no surprise.) I love the parallels he drew between flapper fringe and cowboy fringe, and the exploration of shiny clear plastic and gingham. I'm looking forward to what he'll do at Dior.
