Naturally, because I don't have enough on my plate, I've signed up for two classes this summer.

The first starts this Friday. It's a printmaking class. The second is a 2-day workshop that will cover ethnographic research methods, something I've been interested in for a very long time. I'm an anthropologist manquée.

I'm hoping both classes will recharge my creative batteries. I really don't see how they won't, but you never know. I didn't complete the two classes I signed up for in New Haven when we were living there. It's not something I'm proud of -- having dropped out -- but in my defense, the teacher and the facilities were totally uninspiring and I felt creatively stymied rather than liberated.

Anyway, we'll see how it goes.
